About the Hackathon

Be the Change Indian Agriculture Deserves

India’s agriculture sector sustains over 1.4 billion people, yet it continues to struggle with climate change, inconsistent yields, limited access to tech and outdated farming practices. It’s time to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI innovation and the real needs of our farmers.

This is not just another hackathon.
This is your chance to build tech that feeds a nation, supports sustainability and creates tangible social impact.

At the AI for AGRITECH: Precision Farming Hackathon, organized by KIT Skill Hub in collaboration with Pavaman Technologies, we’re challenging students, developers and AI enthusiasts across India to solve real agricultural challenges using the latest in multispectral imaging, vegetation indices, and RGB image-based disease detection.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: No, participation is absolutely free.

A: Absolutely. One of the goals is to bridge the gap between AI and agriculture. Even without domain knowledge, you can build solutions using data, interviews and problem statements we’ll provide.

A: It’s a hybrid model- you can participate online or join us offline at designated hubs.

A: Yes, 100%! The AI for AgriTech Hackathon is designed to be inclusive. You don’t need to be an expert in coding or AI. If you’re from agriculture, biology, business, or even arts — your perspective can bring fresh ideas to the table.

You can team up with someone from a technical background and contribute by:

  1. Researching real-world agriculture problems.
  2. Designing the user interface or presentation. Hackathons are not just about coding — they’re about solving problems creatively and collaboratively.
  3. Explaining how your solution will impact farmers or the agri industry.

A: Submission guidelines will be shared during the hackathon.
